June 14, 2008 - NAACP Chaves County Branch - The
2008 Juneteenth Celebration will be held in the Martin
Luther King, Jr. Park located at S. Union and Gayle
streets in Roswell, NM. The time will extend from 12:00
Noon until 5:00PM There will be free hot dogs,
hambergers, and drinks. The entertainment will be
provided by Ben Brown's No Sleep Blues Band. The theme
for the event is "Uniting A Multi-cultural Community".
Games and sporting events, face painting and inflatables
will be on hand and supervised by staff persons provided
by event Co-sponsor, the City of Roswell's Parks and
Recreation. |
