Juneteenth Ball will take place at the Union Shriner's
Club in Union, SC on June 21, 2008 from 6pm until. This
is a Black Tie event featuring a live band and heavy
hors 'douvres. We celebration wealth of Spirit and our
true Freedom, both physically and mentally. The sponsors
of the event are Greater New Faith and Foundation of
Faith Churches, both pastored by Rev. James W. Richard.

17, 2008 - Anderson County Library - The Main
Library of the Anderson County Library System will host
a Juneteenth Celebration on Tuesday, June 17, at 7 p.m.
Participating will be jazz and R&B musicians from the
area, as well as gospel choirs and dance groups,
including jazz saxophonist Michael Mobley and blues
musician Earl Haymond. Gloria Plotnik, president of the
Anderson branch of the NAACP will speak on "Freedom for
African Americans in the 21st Century." The event is
free and open to the public. |

15, 16, 17, 2007 - Juneteenth Committee - Our Theme:
Juneteenth 2007: "Fostering Freedom Through The Ages"
All programs and events will take place at Mount Prospect Baptist Church;
339 West Black Street, Rock Hill, SC.
The celebration begins with an inspirational program on
Friday, June 15, at 7:00 p.m. Speaker of the hour will
be Adonis "Sporty" Jerald, author of the successful
book, "The Champion in You." He is a certified
facilities executive, one of only 200 in the world and
is currently associated with the Charlotte (NC) Bobcats
Basketball Organization.
The Juneteenth committee will recognize persons from the
area as "Women of Distinction." A reception will
follow the program.
On June 16, enjoy the Festival, 10:00 a.m. - 4:00
p.m. featuring, entertainment, exhibits, games,
storytelling, food and drinks, and more. The Old School
Duo Gospel Singers will perform during the festival.
Clarence Kegler, a former school board member of Rock
Hill School District III, will return to the city to
speak during the final program on Sunday, June 17, at
3:00 p.m. He has served in leadership positions on a
number of boards, and is currently Site Director US1
with Michelin N. A. He is also an avid golfer as well as
a fitness enthusiast.
All events are open to all citizens of the community and
